Zeehaven IJmuiden N.V. facilitates a wide variety of large-scale offshore projects in the North Sea. A site is available for offshore projects in IJmondhaven, directly adjacent to quay 300m1 (Monnickendamkade), where the port has an average depth of NAP -11 m1. The site can also be rented for shorter- or longer-term offshore projects.
In 2019, IJmondhaven served as the operational base for exploration activities to locate small gas fields. The closure of the gas production operations in Groningen has made it necessary and desirable to extract more gas from small fields in the North Sea as part of the gradual transition to sustainable energy.
