Government regulations stipulate that rainwater drainage from roof surfaces for connection to the sewer is not accepted. This must be done via an on-site solution, such as an infiltration system. Depending on the location, it is also possible to connect and discharge this drainage directly to the harbour.

We advise you to contact the Technical Department of Zeehaven IJmuiden N.V. for more information about the use of our sewage system, including the conditions for connections and which types of discharges cannot be connected.

Connections to the sewage system are subject to an annual fee. A minimum annual fee is payable per connection. In addition to this fee for Zeehaven IJmuiden N.V., you are also obliged to pay annual sewage tax to the municipality of Velsen.
